Maolan Mountain, located closely along the shores of Sun Moon Lake, features a trail entrance adjacent to Mingtan Junior High School. This trail leads to the esteemed Mt. Maolan Tea Research and Extension Station and the Central Weather Bureau's Sun Moon Lake Weather Station, covering a total distance of approximately 4.6 kilometers.
